Group Programs

Beat The Blues is an educational program that has been developed here at the Fountainhead Organic Retreat over the last decade. It is not a therapeutic program - we are not psychologists nor medical doctors and we do not prescribe medication. With the input of more than 4500 clients over that period we have developed The Fountainhead MethodTM, a unique system of looking at stress and we combine it with Mindfulness training to create the Beat The Blues program. This program has helped thousands of people to overcome anxiety, depression and other stress related illnesses.

Group Programs- start fortnightly, and are our most popular. All guests arrive on the same Friday for check-in and a welcome dinner. This is the start of an intensive 14 days of education about stress and a re-training of how to react to the tougher days in your life.

Week One: A weekend intensive group seminar providing an introduction to The Fountainhead Method. Monday through Friday is group therapy, now taking the theory and applying it to your situation with your own Fountainhead Method Life Coach taking you, again in a small group, through exercises and activities to reinforce the message you have just learnt.

Week Two: Starts with a two day seminar on Mindfulness and its application to the method. From Monday Mindfulness then becomes part of the daily program. Monday through Thursday is the integration program, where having learnt the basics of a new philosophy, we will show you why it works, and get you ready to take it home and share with others. Thursday night is graduation dinner and awards night with check out on Friday morning.

Week Three Onward: For more chronic issues, extend on a weekly basis, now having your own individual Life Coach appointed whom will cover four sessions with you weekly, either using the Fountainhead Method, or Journey style Therapy.

Hi All,

Just a quick note to once again thank you all so much. I am sitting here having a great lunch (thanks Karin) for great ideas. Just want to let you all know all going well. I get up still at 6am and either walk in my machine for 5k’s or walk the kids to school and back which all up would be about 5k’s also.

Fountainhead did create a great habit there and my body felt so good for it I am keeping it up. Still drinking herbal tea love the peppermint now not had a coffee and have no plans to have one either. My kids say I am much calmer and I find myself telling them to lower there voices.

I used to yell a lot don’t really feel like it now kids are confused but this is the experience they are meant to be having. The mums and teachers at school are surprised to see me around the school. Probably shocked would be a better word its great. Some of the mums think I am one of the new mums I walk around with this stupid smile on my face as I see and hear things with a whole new understanding.

Some have picked my brains but seem to be waiting for me to fall or even want to argue a point with me. No fight from me they just need more data but interestingly when I fail to put up an argument and still remain calm and at peace I can see that some seem to be questioning there own statements. This no longer affects my self worth as I do know my value.

As I reflect on the time I have been home a lot has happened. Have had some hurdles to jump ( indicators ). But I have had to look back to realise these issues have been not so nice.

I get it guys and one issue no longer reflects the whole day week or month even it is an event from which I get to learn and gain wisdom. P.S cant spell and comprehension not good either never mind Ill sort it out one day it not a priority right now.
