The NEW Retreat Spa at Fountainhead still continues to offer the same treatments you may have experienced but we now have a whole lot more to offer. Our philosophy is simple, you are what you think. At The Retreat Spa we believe there is much more to you than just the products you put on your skin. We know that a simple routine partnered by mental attitude and a strong workable philosophy are the most critical tools to ensure a happy and healthy life. Our facilities include steam room, Infrared sauna, heated mineral plunge pool and 25 meter mineral lap pool, 3 treatment rooms and organic spa cuisine plus much more.

All our Treatments use only ethical skincare products with superior organic formulations. Our effective products provide the benefits and integrity of organic ingredients with the latest natural skin super nutrients. The products we use are dedicated to educating consumers on making safe, informed, and sustainable choices. We are passionate about our environment as well as using products that do no harm.

Spring is the perfect time to make Natural Face Masks with fresh fruit and vegetables at The Retreat Spa all our treatments use local Maleny product Mukti Botanicals.
Mukti recommend the following natural recipes for great spring skin:
    Grate, juice or mash fresh fruit or vegetables
    Preferably choose certified organic produce
    One of the many benefits is that fresh masks are made from active, potent ingredients that are free from preservatives

For Sunburn use mashed cucumber and aloe vera
For Red Blotchy Skin use pears and aloe vera
For Dry / Dehydrated Skin use avocado, banana, finely grated carrot, strawberries and egg yolk
For Normal Skin use oatmeal, egg, mayonnaise, apple, peach, pear and raspberry
For Oily Skin use pineapple, lemon juice, tomato, grated apple, cucumber and egg white

Apply to a cleansed face, neck and décolleté for 10 to 15 minutes. Wash off, tone and apply your favourite Mukti Face cream.
With spring upon us make sure you grab 20 minutes of sunlight per day. Just 20 minutes out in the fresh air each day will allow your body to obtain necessary levels of Vitamin D. Vitamin D is essential for healthy bones, muscles, teeth and immune function. Be sure to wear a hat, avoid the hottest part of the day and use a good organic sunscreen. Spending more than 20 minutes can have a detrimental effect, so no need to over do it! Sit outside in the shade, the suns rays will still find you, breathe and enjoy.
