Mindfulness meditation is recommended for anxiety, alcohol, or substance abuse however is helpful for any person whom just wishes to understand more how their own body works. Mindfulness retreats are held at Fountainhead Organic Retreat commencing each fortnight. The program entails a full weekend seminar to ensure all the information which is necessary to establish a strong mindfulness practice. Our facilitators are all trained in The Fountainhead Method as well as Mind fullness so the integration will be well covered.

Mindfulness helps to develop your understanding of life and enhance your ability to remain equanimous to all experiences. As you investigate the reality of nature within your own body you begin to gain a clearer understanding of the impermanence of life. This newly developed understanding improves your ability to deal with life using tolerance, wisdom and equanimity. Mindfulness is not used to run away from reality, cover up your troubles or force yourself to get well. It is practiced specifically to observe yourself exactly as you are. This objective observation of the mind and body will change the neural pathways in the brain, thus improving your capacity to deal with life's ups and downs more effectively. Mindfulness is not a rite or a ritual, it is a way of life.

As you continue to practice this new way of life you dramatically reduce the possibility of ever having depression or anxiety again. Also your stress levels decrease dramatically due to the reduction of Cortisol levels in the bloodstream. Some of the side-effects of high and prolonged levels of Cortisol in the body are:

* Impaired cognitive performance
* Suppressed thyroid function
* Higher blood pressure
* Lowered immunity and inflammatory responses in the body, slowed wound     healing, and other health consequences


These are just some of the detrimental effects to your body stress can contribute to. Hence the importance of Mindfulness can not be understated. A simple, yet powerful way to improve your health and well-being which can be learned very quickly. Once learned you can integrate it into your life easily and with dramatic effect.

 Hi, my name is Jayden, I am a Lecturer, Life-Coach and Mindfulness Practitioner. I have been actively involved in the study of Personal Development and Human Potential for the last 15 years. I have also trained in the Eastern art of Mindfulness Meditation. During my studies I have learnt many wonderful techniques and modalities to improve my life and the lives of many others. All with amazing results.
 

There are a couple of techniques which have a significant impact on reducing stress, depression and anxiety. The Fountainhead Method and Mindfulness Meditation. I recommend using both of these techniques in your daily life. You don't have to make them a rite or a ritual, just implement them into your daily habits and notice the changes which will happen. The beauty of these methods is they are experiential. Your own body will tell you if they are working. This is not some airy-fairy, connect with your higher self, call on your angels type stuff. This is scientifically proven, and I have seen the results of hundreds of people coming to Fountainhead, after suffering years of psychological pain going home happier and more grounded. Live life in reality and it will become much easier to deal with.

None of these programs are "woo woo", esoteric, or steeped in mysticism. No mysteries will be revealed. What we teach is  a scientific interpretation of what the Buddha taught and its application to daily life. It is all about adjusting to life by looking at and interpreting what is actually happening, rather than falling back to previous "patterns" that have been established back may no longer be relevant.
