Introduction to the Method
Why 28 days? With almost a decade of practice, using the Fountainhead Method to help clients suffering from stress, experience has taught us that the time it takes to make a change can be measured. The process of changing the way you think takes a commitment of no less than 28 days; 7 days to educate yourself and the remaining 21 days to assimilate this new information and learning. Science also teaches us that it takes 21 days to create a new habit.
When you are learning new information, your brain begins to form new neuron pathways, that is, new ways of thinking. The 28 Day Plan to Beat the Blues takes you through techniques and exercises that enable you to replace your current way of thinking that causes stress with a new way of thinking that reduces it. You must consciously begin to make and use the new neuron pathway frequently before it becomes effortless.
To understand this process better, think of a neuron pathway like a disjointed track which eventually becomes a smooth road. A track is challenging to drive down when shrubs are growing in the ruts. It is not until you drive down the track regularly, clear the shrubs and lay a little pavement that the track becomes useable. Eventually, the track becomes a clear and defined road which you now drive down with ease.

Stress Less.
What is the best way to stress-less? What is the best way to reduce your stress and to stop the incorrect thinking patterns which cause it? What is the best approach to making real and lasting change? To answer these questions you must first decide what type of change is required. Does stress cause you just a little tension? Or, have you lost confidence in yourself, or friends, or a partner you love because of your inability to handle stress well?
If you fall into the second group of stress-sufferers, you need to give this 28 day plan the time and the attention it requires to instigate real change. To do so, you must decide to take 28 days for yourself. You need to consciously move yourself out of your normal routine so that you can focus. You may even decide to go on a holiday or a retreat, if you are doing this from home, just imagine as if it was a retreat or a holiday from your usual self.
