Celebrating Four Years as the only Certified Organic Health Retreat in Australia.
Since we opened our doors, just over four years ago, we have served over 1000 clients, whom needed a break or had a serious health issue to deal with. We operate within a working Organic farm in Maleny (right next to the Glasshouse Mountains) Queensland, one of the most beautiful spots on this earth. We are the only Organically Certified health retreat in Australia.
We serve only 16-24 guests per program, so we even get to know your name. We grow much of our own Organic food on site. The farm is spread over 40 acres including 3 acres of lakes and creeks. The retreat also encompasses our own Hot Mineral Water Baths complex, which utilises our Spring water from underneath the mountain we sit upon.
We inherited over 300 avocados trees but have since planted another 1200 mixed food trees. Our Pineapple Guava are just fruiting now and the citrus have gone from blossom to fruit.
Most guests come by themselves to the health retreat and 70% are women. You can join us with fitness goals, to Cure your Depression or to just be Pampered and use our Baths facility. Most guests come for at least two to three weeks but our full Change Your Life program takes 28 days. It is all your choice.
How are we different?
We believe that mental attitude and a strong workable philosophy are the most critical tools to ensure a happy and healthy life. We further believe that specific mind sets cause specific illness and conditions. Many places talk about mind body, but we teach what that really means. Nutrition and exercise will help with health that is certain but without self esteem happiness will remain elusive.
We are all put on earth we believe to learn lessons. The secret is to have a go. Do not let fear and "what if's" stop you. Start liking yourself now; don't wait any longer. We may only have one life, so let us start living it.

Fit For Life Retreats
Every month James and Kym (our Fitness Leaders) host our Boot Camp, (Group Fitness) and Fit For Life (Your own Program and trainer). Although there is an abundance of physical activity you will also receive plenty of healthy food, rest and pamper to help the body recover.
In addition to our physical training you will also receive physical educational talks and information regarding nutrition - including our Healthy Food Schools.
You choose between the 12 day Boot Camp or the 12 day upward Fit For Life program, which helps you to find out why you have not been able to break that habit that you feel is causing you stress. Many now stay for the complete 28 day Change Your Life program to sample EVERYTHING Fountainhead has to offer.

Guided Platypus viewing each Saturday morning.
This is one of our 13 permanent residents whom can be seen most weeks during our guided Bird and Platypus in the wild walk.
We Detox most weeks with Organic Juice Monday through Wednesday and all of our food is Organic, as well as being Dairy and Gluten free.

I just thought I would touch base with you regarding Jen’s month at Fountainhead. She came home a different person to the one I sent up there and for that I will be forever grateful. She is completely off her medication, has the eating thing under control and is now completely vegetarian – her weight is good and her demeanor is fantastic.
She has been working two jobs since she got back, saving money and is happier than I have seen her in many, many years. When I sent Jen up to you, it was a real leap of faith on my part as the financial side of it for us was huge but I have to say it is the best money I have ever invested. I just want to thank you again and would appreciate it if you would pass on my eternal gratitude to Jen’s life coach etc – they worked a miracle and for that I will be forever in their debt.
Have a fantastic Christmas and 2008.
But after attending Greg’s talks and learning from everyone else I feel like I have regained my old original self and a renewed take on life.
